For 25 years, Dr. Alfieri practiced interventional cardiology, yet during that time, Dr. Alfieri noticed severe vein disease in many of his patients. Therefore, Dr. Alfieri set his sights on becoming an expert in Phlebology, the study of vein disease.

Therefore, Dr. Alfieri set his sights on becoming an expert in Phlebology, the study of vein disease. Phlebology has been around for some time, yet new and innovative techniques to treat varicose veins are emerging. In 2008, Dr. Alfieri opened the Delaware Advanced Vein Center, now the state’s largest vein center. At his Center, Dr. Alfieri treats patients with venous insufficiency.

Cindy’s role as Office Manager is to ensure that all business functions run smoothly.

She has been in the medical field for 14 years. She is involved in almost every aspect of our practice and knows how to perform every role.

Nurse Practitioner

Ellen has been a nurse for 39 years and a nurse practitioner for 20. She brings with her a background in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Cardiology. She’s also worked as a clinical instructor for nursing students. Her hobbies include reading, knitting, spending time with her two cats and dogs, and attending music festivals.

Physician’s Assistant

Lauren graduated from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. She joined the Alfieri Cardiology Team in March 2020 and is excited to be working with the cardiovascular and primary care populations. She assists the physician with procedures and addresses any clinical questions. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time at the beach with family and friends, reading a good book, and beating her fiancé at tennis!

Krystal Calloway, RVT

Vascular Technician

Krystal has been a Registered Vascular Technologist since 2009 and has been with Alfieri Cardiology since 2009. She performs routine vascular ultrasounds and assists in venous procedures like ablations and phlebectomies. Krystal enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, and most importantly helping her patients look and feel their best! Fun fact: Krystal has been with Delaware Advanced Vein Center since its inception!

Jordyn Clark, RVT

Vascular Technician

Jordyn has been a Registered Vascular Technologist since 2015 and has been with Alfieri Cardiology since 2019. She performs routine vascular ultrasounds and assists with venous procedures like ablations and phlebectomies. Jordyn enjoys cooking, trying new foods, spending time with her baby, and helping her patients look and feel their best! Fun fact: Jordyn is originally from Texas!

Mercedes has worked 23 years in the medical field. Her role involves checking in patients and making sure they have everything they need before they see the doctor.

Gabby has been a Medical Assistant for three years and is becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Her role involves the clinical check-in process of checking and recording vitals and medical history. She enjoys getting acquainted with patients who are new to the practice.

Naylin has been a medical assistant for 17 years. You’ll find her escorting patients to the exam room, checking vitals and medication lists.

“My name is Naylin, but you can call me Nay! I am bilingual, I speak spanish, so I provide interpretation for a lot of our patients. I enjoy working with people and helping them with their health care needs.”

April has been in the medical field for 24 years. Her role involves the clinical check-in and check-out processes; she can be found greeting patients as they enter and exit the office.

“I’m a people person; I enjoy helping and working with my patients. I have a bubbly personality and enjoy laughing with patients and coworkers, but I take my job very seriously. I enjoy spending time with my grandkids at the beach, and my favorite color is pink!”

Loretta has been a Medical Assistant for five years. Her role includes checking vitals and entering information into patient medical records. She enjoys talking with patients and hearing how they have been since their last visit.
